Privacy Policy
Effective October 18, 2026
SupperSecret is run by WahleTec LLC, an Alabama company ("we", "us"). This policy covers suppersecret.com, the app at suppersecret.app, and the Android app when it ships. It says what we collect, why, who else handles it, and how you can get it back or have it deleted.
The short version: we collect what it takes to plan your household's dinners and nothing more. We don't sell your information, we don't show ads, and we don't use tracking or analytics tools.
What we collect
If you join the waitlist
Your email address, the time you signed up, and which form on the page you used.
When you create an account
- Your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google.
- Sign-in records: a session for each device you're signed in on, with its IP address and browser type, so we can keep you signed in and spot sign-ins that aren't yours. If you sign in with Google, we also store the sign-in tokens Google returns, encrypted. We don't use them to access anything else in your Google account.
- Sign-in codes: the 6-digit codes we email you. Each one expires after 10 minutes.
What your household puts in
Recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, pantry and freezer contents, photos of recipe cards or food, and messages you send to the meal-planning assistant. It also includes what you tell us about the people you cook for: names, who eats on which nights, likes and dislikes, food allergies and other dietary needs.
Allergy and dietary information can be sensitive. We use it only to plan meals for your household. Please enter only what's needed for that.
If you send us feedback
What you write, which part of the app you sent it from, and your account's email address so we can reply. If you tick Include device details, we also receive your browser and system (major versions only), screen and window size, language, time zone, whether the app is installed, whether you were online, light or dark mode, and the app version. You see that list before sending. We never record your IP address or location with feedback.
How we use it
- To run the service: sign you in, plan your week, build your shopping list, and share all of it with the people in your household.
- To email you sign-in codes, invites you request, and important notices about your account or these policies. If you joined the waitlist, we'll also email you when your household can join.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems, including the ones you tell us about through feedback.
- When billing starts, to charge for your subscription.
We don't sell or rent your information, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't build profiles of you for anyone else.
Who can see your household's information
Everyone in your household can see and change its recipes, plans, lists and people. Someone joins a household only through an invite link a member sends. Nobody outside your household can see it.
Companies that handle it for us
We use a small number of service providers. Each one gets only what it needs to do its job for us.
- Cloudflare hosts the website, the app and its databases, and sends our emails.
- Google handles sign-in if you choose "Continue with Google." Google tells us your name, email address and profile picture. It doesn't learn anything about your household from us.
- Anthropic runs the AI model behind the meal-planning assistant, which reads recipes from links and photos and answers your questions. When you use the assistant, what you send it and the household details it needs to answer are sent to Anthropic to produce a reply. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic doesn't use that information to train its models.
- A payment processor will handle card payments when billing starts. We'll name it here before it's used. We won't see or store your full card number.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a sale or merger of the business. In a sale or merger, the new owner must keep this policy's promises or tell you first.
Cookies
The app uses one cookie to keep you signed in, plus short-lived cookies during Google sign-in. Your browser also stores your last-opened household on your device. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
Keeping and deleting it
- We keep your account and household information for as long as your account exists.
- You can download your recipes, and everything else your household has entered, at any time from Download your data in the app's menu.
- To delete your account, email hello@suppersecret.com from the address you sign in with. We'll delete your account within 30 days. If you're the last person in a household, we'll delete the household's information too. Our database backups expire on a rolling schedule, so copies in backups are gone within a further 30 days.
- To leave the waitlist, email us and we'll remove your address.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, get a copy of it, or have it deleted. Email hello@suppersecret.com. We'll answer within 30 days and won't treat you differently for asking. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws like the GDPR or California's CCPA. We honor these requests wherever you live.
Children
Accounts are for adults 18 and over. Children don't sign up or sign in. A parent may enter a child's name, schedule and food preferences so the household's meals can be planned. That information stays inside the household, under the parent's control, and can be edited or deleted at any time.
Security
All traffic is encrypted. Each household's information is kept in its own separate database. There are no passwords to steal: you sign in with an emailed code or with Google. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we'll tell you promptly.
Where it's stored
Our service runs in the United States on Cloudflare's network. If you use it from another country, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
If we make a significant change, we'll email account holders before it takes effect and update the date at the top. Small fixes, like typos, may happen without notice.
